Who are we?

Hi, I’m Elvis, the founder of PiliBee. My story doesn’t start with a lightning bolt or a family recipe passed down for generation... It starts with curiosity. I’m the kind of person who asks a lot of questions and genuinely enjoys figuring things out.

By day, I work as an Instructional Designer, helping leaders and teams turn complex ideas into clear, meaningful learning. One day, I was asked a simple question that turned out to be anything but: how do you define a skill in a way that actually makes sense? That question stuck with me, and I decided to explore it the best way I know how, by doing.

That experiment led me to soapmaking, then skincare, and before I knew it, I was deep in research, formulations, and conversations with friends and family who wanted to know more.

Before and After

Pili Pulp Oil - Our Hero Ingredient

Along the way, I discovered Pili Oil from the Philippines, and everything clicked. It’s a rare, deeply nourishing oil packed with skin-loving goodness and even better, its byproduct, Pili Pulp Oil and its slightly richer fatty acids and vegetable protein properties!

What started as a personal learning experiment quickly became a passion for creating skincare that’s thoughtful, effective, and responsibly made.

Extracting Pili Pulp Oil

Harvasted Pili Nuts

After harvesting, farmers in the Philippines soak Pili Nut husks in water for at least 3 days to soften the pulp and extract its oil.

Composition of Pili Nut

After Pili Nuts are soaked, and the pulp removed, the nuts are set aside and the pulp is hand squeezed in the water to extract its oils.

This water is left to rest for hours and the top layer of oil scooped off and then boiled to evaporate remaining water content before bottling.

Pili Pulp Oil - Our Hero Ingredient

PiliBee grew from that journey, blending education, craftsmanship, and a pragmatic green luxury mindset.

I focus on using thoughtfully chosen ingredients, telling their stories honestly, and creating products that feel good, work beautifully, and are safe to use every day, without parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, sulfates (SLS/SLES), or PEGs.

I’m still learning, always experimenting, and that curiosity is the heartbeat of PiliBee. If you’re curious too, you’re in the right place.
